Adamant Alpha Chapter
Founded at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington on February 27, 2008, Alpha Nu
Multicultural Sorority, Inc. became the first multiculturally founded and based organization on this
campus. The seven founding mothers, all coming from diverse ethnic backgrounds, united together
striving to create a safe space with the purpose to empower all womxn. The sisters of Alpha Nu firmly
stand behind the pillars of scholarship, leadership, unity, multiculturalism and sisterhood. Alpha Nu’s
purposes are to embrace diversity and promote cultural unity, to maintain a sisterhood that encourages
and supports higher education and the achievement of life aspirations, to empower women of different
backgrounds to be leaders throughout their community, and to inspire others to uphold to the values
of Alpha Nu. The pillars and purposes of Alpha Nu are values that each and every sister holds closely
and resonates with. The presence of Alpha Nu both as an organization and sisterhood is to embrace
and promote diversity throughout our campus and across other campuses in future expansion. We
strive to be inclusive of all identities and backgrounds as we always say in our motto “Come As You
Are”!
