The seven founding mothers: Perla Fletes-Houston, Yuliana Alvarez Garcia, Andrea Lowe Walter, Joyce Erikson McMahan, Brenda Y. Gonzalez Meza, Karina Rojas Rodriguez, and CamilleN. Wall came from diverse ethnic backgrounds uniting to create an environment for young womn of all backgrounds to flourish. Guided by the motto, “Come As You Are,” our organization fosters an inclusive environment where every member is weicomed, valued, and empowered. Our colors-Turquoise, Black, and Silver-along with our mascot, the Black Panther with Turquoise Eyes, and our symbols, the White Orchid and Aquamarine gemstone, represent the strength, resilience, and individuality of our sisterhood. We proudly support the American Cancer Society as our philanthropy, reflecting our commitment to serving others and making a positive impact in our communities. Introducing Lambda Phi Epsilon International Fraternity Inc. | MGC Spotlight Lambda Phi Epsilon was founded on February 25, 1981, by principal founder Master Craig Ishigo and a group of eighteen other dedicated men on the campus of the University of California of Los Angeles. Noting that Asian fraternities and sororities at the UC campuses were recognized only as service organizations due to their memberships focus on specific Asian groups and to the exclusion of other ethnic groups, the goal of the founders was to transcend this limitation. The founders hoped to set new and higher standards of excellence for all Asian-interest organizations to follow, while feeling a need to offer a fraternity that would be recognized by the FC and the Greek system. While the original charter focused on Asian Pacific Americans, people from all ethnic backgrounds were welcome to join and support the brotherhood of Lambda Phi Epsilon. Their vision was that the members would eventually become the leaders of their respective communities and bridge the gaps that divided the Asian American community through an affiliation with a common organization.

Introducing Omega Delta Phi Fraternity Inc. | MGC Spotlight Omega Delta Phi Fraternity was founded on November 25, 1987 on the campus of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. The seven founders consisted of Joe Cerceres, Eugene Dominguez, Elliott Bazan, Christopher Dwight Forbes, Arturo Barraza, Juan Barraza, and Tommy Hurtado. As a fraternity, we recognize our first graduate Advisor, Hector Jerry Holguin and faculty advisors Herman Garcia, Frank Silvas, Camilo Martinez and Paula Parras. The fraternity was founded originally to be a service fraternity which primarily focused on the Hispanic community (since there was no organization focusing on assisting this particular group in Lubbock). The traditional vision of our Founders and the many Brothers in our Fraternity grew the mission to include attracting and accepting any willing, qualified, man to join our organization. Our fraternity has grown to represent all types of races; that is the evolutionary vision of our Founders. With this evolution, we welcome the growing opportunities to expand across the United States and beyond. Our Brotherhood has the strongest of desires to positively affect as many lives as possible. With this goal, we intend to both benefit our fraternal members and the many individuals we have crossed paths with though Service.

Introducing Gamma Iota Omicron Fraternity Inc. | MGC Spotlight Gamma lota Omicron Fraternity Inc. was founded on February 7, 2006, at Washington State University, establishing a brotherhood rooted in tradition, purpose, and growth. Represented by its official colors Emperor Gold, Alpha Blue, and Mountain Trail Brown. Symbolized by El Gallo, the organization lives by the motto "Always on Call - Parts of a Whole - Growth Inside and Out." GALLO's values are Leadership, Knowledge, Courage, Heritage, Respect, Empathy, Social/Service, La Mujer, and Dynasty of Brothers. Introducing Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. | MGC Spotlight Alpha Phi Alpha is a social organization with a service organization mission and provided leadership and service during the Great Depression, World Wars, and Civil Rights Movement. The fraternity addresses social issues such as apartheid, AIDS, urban housing, and other economic, cultural, and political issues of interest to people of color. National programs and initiatives of the fraternity include A Voteless People Is a Hopeless People, My Brother’s Keeper, Go To High School, Go To College, Project Alpha, and the World Policy Council. It also conducts philanthropic programming initiatives with the March of Dimes, Head Start, the Boy Scouts of America, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
