Gamma Iota Omicron Fraternity, Inc.

Gamma Iota Omicron Fraternity Inc. was founded on February 7, 2006, at Washington State University, establishing a brotherhood rooted in tradition, purpose, and growth. Represented by its official colors Emperor Gold, Alpha Blue, and Mountain Trail Brown. Symbolized by El Gallo, the organization lives by the motto “Always on Call – Parts of a Whole – Growth Inside and Out.

”GALLO’s values are Leadership, Knowledge, Courage, Heritage, Respect, Empathy, Social/Service, La Mujer, and Dynasty of Brothers. Each of these values help guide its members to become well-rounded individuals committed to excellence, service, and community impact. The fraternity also promotes professionalism through traditions such as business casual Mondays, helping brothers build habits that prepare them for success both inside and outside the university. GALLO supports meaningful causes, including the American Diabetes Association, a commitment that connects deeply to the organization’s Mexican culture, as many family members within the community are affected by diabetes.

Symbolically, the fraternity’s gem, the Black Diamond, represents rarity and reflects the unique characteristics, mission, and brotherhood of GALLO, while its flower, the White Calla Lily, serves as a reminder that organizations, like people, are often judged by outward appearances rather than the depth and heart within. Together, these elements embody the spirit, unity, and lasting legacy that continue to shape Gamma Iota Omicron Fraternity Inc.
